The BA/BS in Intercultural Studies program serves as an introduction to the world of Bible translation and linguistics. Outcomes of the program include the ability to articulate biblical, theological, and missiological foundations in their chosen fields; the ability to pursue Christian formational growth that is conducive to cross-cultural ministry; and to implement missional ministry within world contexts. The MA in Intercultural Studies is available with several concentration options, including in Community Development, Scripture Impact, Translation, and a Customized option. A flexible degree program, the curriculum is designed to emphasize “intercultural development within individuals, families, and faith communities.”

Concordia University Irvine is a private Christian university located in Irvine, California. This latter course educates students in animistic worldview, cross-cultural adjustment, and language learning in a simulated tribal setting.
