Regent University offers several unique degree programs designed for individuals who wish to achieve higher education goals in order to move into better positions in their chosen field.  Following are a few examples.

The Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication is designed for those who want to know the truth and share it with others. The program prepares students for careers that have influence. Students learn to think analytically, listen carefully and communicate persuasively. Classes include instruction in principles of investigation, newsgathering, reporting, interviewing and building strategic information campaigns. Throughout the degree program, they build a portfolio that demonstrates their academic, journalistic, creative and professional writing skills. The Master of Education program is available both online and on the Virginia Beach campus. The program allows students to deepen their understanding of knowledge and the spiritual truths that guide education. The Doctor of Strategic Leadership is designed for those who wish to elevate individuals, teams, and systems to their God-given potential. The program emphasizes leadership, communication, structure, team building and cultural understanding. All courses are taught using a Christian perspective. This is a terminal professional degree and is available online and on campus. The online program does require an on-campus residency. Students gain an understanding of the intricacies of organizational assessment as well as how to monitor skills to innovate learning. Students may concentrate their studies in:

About Regent University

In 1977, Dr. M.G. “Pat” Robertson had the vision to establish a graduate-level institute of higher learning with a curriculum that included a strong Christian focus. In 1978, Regent University opened in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The school’s name comes from the word “regent,” which describes someone who represents a king when the ruler is absent. The name was chosen as the school’s goal is to create leaders who would represent Christ in their career.

Today, US News & World Report is ranked among the top national universities and the publication ranks the online bachelor’s and graduate programs as some of the best in the country. Regent University Accreditation Details

Regent University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Accreditation indicates that the university has the resources necessary to meet their goals and objectives. The school volunteers to undergo periodic reviews to confirm that they continue to offer students the highest level of education possible. If any areas are identified as needing improvement, Regent agrees to address them immediately.

Regent University Application Requirements

Undergraduate students must complete an online application and submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. They must also provide official SAT or ACT scores and a personal statement which explains, in two paragraphs, the applicant’s testament of faith in God. They must also provide a copy of an official government-issued photo ID.

To apply to the Master in Education program, applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. One must show the applicant holds a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. An admissions questionnaire is required along with a copy of a government-issued photo ID. Applicants must submit to an interview as well.

To apply for the Doctor in Strategic Leadership, applicants must hold a master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. They must provide a writing sample, goal statement, and current resume. Official college transcripts from all colleges and universities must be provided. An admissions questionnaire must also be completed and a copy of a government-issued photo-ID must be provided.

Regent University Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for undergraduate programs at Regent University is $595 per credit hour for on-campus programs while online tuition is $395 per credit hour. Tuition for the Master of Education program is $550 per credit hour and for the Doctor of Strategic Leadership, tuition is $995 per credit hour.

Financial aid is available and 88 percent of students receive some type of financial assistance. In 2016-17, over $21 million in institutional scholarships were awarded. In order to qualify for any financial assistance, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which must be renewed each year.

Financial aid may be awarded in the form of scholarships, grants or loans. Students may also be offered employment to offset the cost of their tuition. Jobs may be available through the Christian Broadcasting Networking, The Founders Inn and Spa or the university.
