The fees associated with applying to college present a hardship for some prospective students. However, Roberts Wesleyan College takes that part of applying to college out of the equation, making applying to the school easier and cheaper.

Prospective students will still need to follow through with the application process, however. First-year students, transfer and international students share a similar application process, which is outlined below.

To apply for undergraduate admission, students must:

  • Fill out the online application
  • Submit CLT, ACT or SAT scores
  • Turn in transcripts from high school or college
  • Send in a letter of recommendation (optional)
  • Send in proof of English proficiency (international students)

Admission to the graduate programs will vary somewhat between departments. The following outline represents the most common materials that incoming graduate students will be asked for. However, it is wise for prospective students to contact the people in charge of the program they’re interested in and inquire about specific application requirements.

Here is a general list of what incoming graduate students must submit:

  • Proof of a bachelor’s or master’s degree earned from an accredited college or university
  • Transcripts
  • Proof of a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • The online application
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Resume or CV
  • Application essay
  • Proof of English proficiency

Initially, the school allows incoming undergraduate students to self report their test scores. However, students who do submit their scores in this form must eventually provide the school with their official test scores. Transfer students may be asked to submit both their high school and their most recent college’s transcripts, depending on how many college credits they’ve taken.

Incoming students are required by RWC to meet the school’s admissions standards. Standardized test scores must be at least 17 for the ACT, 59 for the CLT or 940 for the SAT. Incoming students must have a 2.8 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

The school also advises international or homeschooled students to contact the school’s admissions counselors to receive guidance about their eligibility. International students are likely to be asked for proof of English proficiency, which can come from taking the TOEFL or the IELTS tests.
