Maranatha Baptist Bible College (MBBC) is a Baptist educational institution in Wisconsin. It provides a wide range of undergraduate degrees as it strives to achieve its mission of developing leaders for ministry not only in the local church but even in their respective communities worldwide.

Established in 1968, this private Christian college sets itself apart from the other institutions owing to its spiritual and academic teachings. Its curriculum focuses on the local church and the Baptist tradition. In addition, the institution is regionally accredited and offers a wide range of programs.

Maranatha Baptist Bible College values the truth of God’s word and strictly adheres to the Baptist tradition. It encourages students to be committed to God’s work as they prepare to become leaders for ministry in their local churches and the world in praise of His glory. All students are required to complete Bible courses together with their respective majors and minors.

Maranatha Baptist Bible College Location

Situated on a 54-acre lot in urban Watertown in the state of Wisconsin, MBBC’s main campus is now home to several buildings. It has a dining complex, the Cedarholm library, a gymnasium, Hanneman Hall, administrative offices and 10 dormitories.

Tuition

The annual cost of attending the Maranatha Baptist Bible College is $23,370. This already includes the tuition and fees ($12,260), room and board ($6,290), books and supplies ($1,010) and other expenses ($3,810).

Financial Aid

The institution’s financial aid office exists to help students find the right sources to fund their college education. Financial assistance programs available are loans, scholarships and grants as well as non-need awards. The loans offered are funded by the federal and state governments as well as by other organizations.

Student Population

MBBC has a student body of 879 with 56 percent of them women and 44 percent males and 69 percent living inside the campus. Students of various cultural backgrounds are enrolled here including Black or African Americans, non-Hispanics/Latinos, Asians, Hispanics and Latinos among others. International students come from 10 countries.

Academic Areas of Study

Maranatha offers more than 30 majors and more than 40 minors at its main campus. Each course is taught from a Bible perspective and is aimed at preparing students to become competent professionals as they pursue their future careers and vocations.

Among the majors available are Humanities, Accounting, Accounting Management, Biology, Biblical Studies, Business Management, Church Ministries, Elementary and English Education, Nursing, Office Management, Sport Management, Youth Ministries and Science Education among others.

Primary Accreditation

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools has granted Maranatha its accreditation. The institution’s teacher education programs are also recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. It is also involved in the Academic Quality Improvement Program of the HLC.

Maranatha Baptist Bible College Athletic Teams

The Maranatha athletic department believes that athletics helps develop the character of student athletes, improve their integrity of higher education and provide an opportunity to share the word of Jesus Christ. The school’s athletic teams are called Crusader and they compete in various sports such as baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, football, wrestling, softball and volleyball.
